ABOUT TALIA
Talia is committed to affordable college and higher educational opportunities, diversity in the legal profession, empowering youth to be change agents, gender and racial equality, and social impact.

A Harlem native, Talia Scott is a 3L/MBA1 law school student and business school student at NYU School of Law and Stern School of Business where she is a dual AnBryce and Jacobson scholar and thrives on the excitement of learning and applying her knowledge in real-world scenarios.
With a passion for supporting low-income to moderate-income entrepreneurs, Talia has worked as a Student Attorney in the Entrepreneurship Clinic, where she advised on corporate governance, trademark, and other intellectual property issues, and drafted and negotiated contractual agreements.
With experience at top law firms and companies in NYC such as Cravath, Swaine & Moore, Debevoise & Plimpton, Davis Polk & Wardwell, and Warner Music Group, Talia’s academic and professional experiences fuel her passion to pursue a career as a transactional attorney in Big Law and explore opportunities in media and entertainment. Additionally, is committed to improving the experiences of diverse students, and as a former President of the Black Allied Law School Association (BALSA) at NYU Law, she had the privilege of leading and inspiring others to excel in their own academic and professional endeavors while working closely with various institutional leaders to implement new diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Prior to attending law school, Talia graduated from Haverford College in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, where she was a recipient of the Quesbridge Scholarship, a full 4-year scholarship to the institution. She also earned full scholarships to attend NYU Law and Stern School of Business. Talia comes from a family of Liberian immigrants and refugees and as a first-generation college student and professional student, is committed to increasing access. As the child of an undocumented immigrant and a product of the NYC public school system, Talia grew up with an understanding of how inaccessible the law could be for minorities and immigrants. It wasn't until she met Michelle Obama when she realized she not only could learn law, but be at the table.
Talia is an alumna of Gyrl Wonder, the I Have a Dream Foundation, the Sadie Nash Leadership Project, and the Student Leadership Network. She is also the Co-Chair of Amplify Her Foundation’s Young Women’s Leadership Network and is dedicated to advancing gender equality in NYC and beyond.
